Frank Crispo

Welcome to my website, I’m Frank Crispo. I’m a graduate of St. Charles College, when it was an all-boys school and still run by the Basilians, Laurentian University in Sudbury and Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. I’m a retired teacher of 30 years and I was born in the small town of Serra San Bruno, Italy and immigrated to Canada and moved to Sudbury in 1954, where I have lived ever since.

I’ve always had an interest in Photography but really never developed a passion for it until I retired.  I love to photograph wildlife and landscapes and one of these days I may even do people. No subject is off the table for me and I like to explore different aspects of it. My main camera is a Canon 5D MK III and my most used lenses at this time are my Tamron G2 150-600 mm for wildlife and my Canon 16-35mm f2.8 for landscapes.

Along with photography I also create webpages relying solely on the WordPress platform. When not doing either of these two you will probably find me on the golf course. It used to be my passion until photography got in the way.

On a personal note, I’m single and have an only daughter, whom I’m very proud of, who lives and teaches at Pace University in New York City. I spend my winters in Florida and I have captured many of my best photos down there. Autumn is my favourite time of year simply because of the fall colours.

I encourage you to check out my Collections page to give you an idea of the kind of work I do and the Latest Shoots page which features my most recent shoots.

“When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.”
“There is only you and your camera. The limitations in your photography are in yourself, for what we see is what we are.”
“Black and white are the colors of photography. They symbolize the alternatives of hope and despair to which mankind is subjected.”
