It’s been a long time coming but I’m finally able to make my first post in a very, very long time. After encountering issues with my previous website followed by issues with several new hosting sites followed simply by a period of a lack of motivation, I’m finally able to introduce my new website. And I’m finally able to point people, who ask me where they can see my work, in the right direction. I have almost a year of photos that I never had the chance to display because my website has been down. I will eventually get them up but for now my first inaugural posting on the new site will be from my recent trip to Iceland. As many of my close friends and family members know, I took a ten day trip to Iceland in October. Oct. 14th to the 24th to be exact. This first post will be of my first 2 days and each successive post will cover each of the remaining days. I had read so much and seen so many great photographs from this country that I really, really had to see it for myself. Iceland is a photographer’s dream! It is photogenic to say the least. I loved it so much that I will be returning again soon. I didn’t get to see everything I wanted to see and the trip I took was just far too short.
Now about those photos. A few of the photos were taken in Reykjavik but most were taken on route to my first overnight stay on the road in the little town of Vik, on the southern coast. You may see what appears to be duplicates. I did that for a reason. For example, you may see two or more images of the same waterfalls. That’s because I took one using ND filters (that’s what helps photographer’s get that silky white look to the waters) and one without. I may have also taken some from a different angle. As always click on an image to view it larger and then use the left or right chevrons to navigate through all of the photos. At the bottom of each page you will see a place for comments so feel free to make one or two. Enjoy!
